This right here is the most awe-inspiring and rare ring we have in our shop!

Alexandrite is one of the rarest stones on the planet! It is color changing chrysoberyl, meaning it changes colors dramatically depending on the lighting. Alexandrite was only found in three locations on the earth: Brazil, India, and Russia. Brazilian alexandrite changes colors from brown to yellowy-green, and Indian alexandrite changes from blue to purple. However, Russian alexandrite, the rarest variety, changes colors from RED to GREEN! Beause of its dramatic color change, it was dubbed "ruby by day, emerald by night".

Russian alexandrite was only mined in the Ural Mountains from the 1830s to the 1880s when the mine ran dry. Because we are getting farther and farther from the extinction date, it contunially increases in value. Currently, Russian alexandrite is valued at approximately $60,000 per carat! It is a crowning jewel of any jewelry and gemstone lover's collection. Not only is it a beautiful and rare collectors item, but it is also a unique and valuable investment piece!

It is a 1 carat trillion faceted natural Russian alexandrite accented by three little round faceted diamonds channel set to the right. The ring is made of 14k yellow gold and is currently a size 7. Additionally, its most recent appraised value (as of 2021) is $58,851.68, but because we have moved farther from the extinction date, it is worth at least a few thousand more!

This is by far our favorite ring we have had in our inventory, and just know that it will end up the favorite of whoever takes it home!
