After years of  dreaming up eye-catching designs and many hours of sourcing, design and labor, The Candy Dish Collection has made its debut! This collection was inspired by the bright, translucent, contrasting colors displayed in a formed glass candy dish that was a fixture in my grandparent's home. As a child, I would hold the vivid, glass candies up in the sunlight and watch the colors come to life. That little decorative candy dish is a small but sweet reminder of the simple wonders of my childhood along with the comfort, joy, and love I have always felt around and for my family.

 

The cohesive vision for the collection was this: keep it simple.

I meticulously sourced high-quality gemstones that were translucent and brightly colored or boasted a unique visual property (such as opalescence or asterism). As opposed to setting them in elaborate silver settings, I handcrafted understated designs that truly allowed the stones to speak for themselves with minimal distraction. Invaluable memories can be tied to simple, but beautiful things, and I wanted this collection to reflect that.

My sincerest hope with this collection is that these pieces become anchors of good memories for you in the same way that my grandparents' candy dish did for me. Every time you see the stones in these pieces glow in the sun, may they serve as a positive reminder of the good: whether it be nostalgic, current, or looking ahead.
